Eastern art rests on the “ustoz–shogird” model, master and apprentice. Knowledge is passed not through textbooks but hand to hand, over years of watching and practice.
In the workshop the apprentice starts simply: grinding paints, preparing paper, copying ornaments. In time they are trusted with fragments, then whole sheets.
Such a school is not only technique but an ethic of patience, attention and respect for tradition.
